Job Description
(Midland, TX): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Service Technician to assist in multiple areas of production with opportunities for training and advancement into skilled positions.
Essential Duties:
• Operate forklifts and cranes; training will be provided
• Load and unload trucks
• Move tools on and off racks
• Perform painting and grinding duties
• Maintain general cleanliness of the shop and yard
• Perform surface finishing activities, including shot peening, cold rolling, and phosphating
• Follow all company safety and quality policies and procedures
• Follow applicable safety programs and procedures, including hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and HAZCOM requirements
• Accurately complete required documentation
• Communicate effectively regarding tool priorities, instructions, and safety concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements/Skills:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• No prior experience required
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Technical aptitude
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to hear and respond to emergency alarms, warning signals, cranes, and moving vehicles
• Ability to accurately record required information and measurements
• Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand approximately 95% of the workday and sit approximately 5%
• Ability to walk throughout the shop and yard as needed
• Frequent use of hands and fingers when handling tools and equipment
• Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch and rarely crawl
• Ability to climb stairs or ladders when required and maintain balance while working with tools
• Ability to clearly focus on tool measurements and stenciling with adequate depth perception
• Ability to occasionally carry up to 50 pounds; heavier items are moved using available lifting equipment
• Ability to work in occasional extreme outdoor temperatures
• Ability to work around industrial hygiene hazards and comply with applicable safety controls and PPE requirements
